Asthma is a serious lung disease that make the airways in your lungs very sensitive. learning about your asthma can help you to feel better, and do all the things that you want to do! Triggers such as smoke, dust, or pollen can cause your airways to swell making it difficult to breathe. When your airways tighten and become smaller you can have any of the following symptoms:

  • Coughing
  • Wheezing
  • Chest tightness
  • Shortness of breath

Here are some ways for you to take control of your asthma.

Talk with your doctor and visit him or hear at least once every 6 months

Take your asthma medication exactly as your doctor tells you to.

Watch for signs that your asthma is getting worse and act quickly

Stay away from the asthma triggers that make your asthma worse.
