Brian Penti, MD
Graduated from Boston University '04, and attended BU family medicine residency program, served as the chief resident. Began work as a hospitalist for BMC Dept of FM beginning '07, and then adding both outpatient clinic and rounding on mombaby service, later became the Assistant Inpatient Director of Clinical Education under the direction of Chris Manasseh since 2010. Served in the Family Medicine working group for Society Hospital Medicine in '09; Member of the Grand Rounds committee for the BMC dept of Family Medicine since '06; Medical Director for the Hoi An Foundation (www.hoianfoundation.org), addressing unmet healthcare needs in rural Vietnam since ’07. Associate Clinical Director of the Lesotho project, focusing on educational needs of doctors in the family medicine specialty program. Active physician volunteer for BUSM Outreach Van Project which is a student-run project providing basic needs for the homeless of East Boston. Awarded the Leonard Tow Humanism Award from BUSM in 2012.
