Boston
University Children's Center
Tuition/Attendance/Calendar
Tuition
is based on a ten-month (43 weeks) period, September through June. The tuition
is divided into ten equal installments and is due on the first of each month.
Upon acceptance to the Center, a deposit of one month’s tuition is required. It
will be applied to the last month the child attends the Center and is non-refundable.
At the beginning of the year, parents
receive a contract stating the total tuition and specifying the monthly payment.
Parents on the regular monthly payroll of Boston University can have tuition payments
deducted from their payroll checks. Those parents on the weekly payroll of the
University can also have the tuition payment deducted from their payroll checks.
Arrangement must be made with the University’s Payroll Office to authorize these
deductions. Authorization forms are available from the Director of the Center.
For those parents who are not employees of Boston University, payment is due on
the first of the month. Checks should be made payable to the Boston University
Children's Center and should be given to the Director.
The
Center provides full services each day whether the child is present or not. Therefore,
no reduction in tuition can be made for absences.
The
Center is open Monday through Friday and will follow the calendar for recognized
holidays for Boston University, with the exception of the week before Fall semester
begins when it is closed. For snow days, it will close when Boston University
closes. However, in severe weather conditions when the University is open, staff
may have trouble arriving on time and parents must stay with their children at
the Center until enough staff has arrived.
Full-day
program: 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
2008-2009
Tuition: $1025/month
Mid-morning and
mid-afternoon snacks are provided by the Center. Children must bring their lunches
from home.
The Center operates on a ten-month
winter session, with optional sessions in July and August. The summer consists
of four two-week sessions, and a child can attend none, one or any number and
still have a space reserved for the fall. During the summer sessions, some of
the regular staff may be on vacation.
