The teacher-to-child ratio at the Center is one adult to every four or five children. The Center’s primary professional staff consists of a Director, an Assistant Director, and five Lead Teachers, all exceptionally well-qualified and dedicated individuals with extensive experience in early childhood education. Boston University student employees, volunteers, and student teachers trained at the Center serve as Teaching Assistants in our program. Each student works a minimum of two sessions in the classroom per week and attends a weekly training meeting. Most students work at the Center longer than one semester, often throughout their years at Boston University. They contribute to our program in many areas, including music, art and physical activities, such as yoga. They are available for babysitting outside of the time they work at the Center. A babysitting list is made available to all parents of currently enrolled children at the beginning of each new semester.
