Office of the Associate Provost for Faculty Development — a University-wide resource to support the recruitment, advancement, and retention of excellent and diverse faculty, to foster a supportive climate for faculty, and to help insure that all faculty members receive equitable treatment, regardless of gender, race, sexual preference, ethnicity, religion, or ability status.
Office of the Ombuds — the University Ombuds is BU’s designated third-party neutral. The office provides a confidential place for people to voice concerns, develop options, and solve problems.
Faculty Academic Services — The Academic Services Department is responsible for the management of a variety of faculty services, including the review and approval of initial hires, management of faculty payroll and annual merit review/salary increase process, compilation and analysis of faculty data reports, coordination of the tenure and promotion process, maintenance of the faculty data portion of the University’s mainframe system, and oversight of the affirmative action process.
Faculty Advisory Committee – provides confidential, neutral, and informal assistance to faculty who have concerns arising from or affecting their work at B.U.
