“Faculty in the 21st Century: Scholarship is Not Enough.” Prof. Wendy Mariner, Edward R. Utley Professor, Health Law, Bioethics & Human Rights. Drawing on her extensive record of university service and scholarship, Professor Mariner will discuss her recent Supreme Court brief about the Affordable Health Care Act to illustrate ways that faculty can remain active and engaged citizens of the academy while also ensuring that their scholarship remains visible and useful at a time when higher education is under attack for being out of touch with American life. Reception to follow.
