Dear Colleagues:

On January 8, 2014, University Provost Jean Morrison issued a call to form a Search Advisory Committee for the Frederick S. Pardee School of Global Studies.

The Provost has outlined the process the Administration will use to select the Dean for this new School, which will be situated within the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS).  The Provost’s letter and the position description for the Pardee School Dean are available on her web site.

The Faculty Council will elect one (1) faculty member to serve on this Committee.  This faculty member must hold an appointment external to CAS. Meetings will take place on the Charles River Campus.

If you would like to stand for election to the Search Advisory Committee, please write to the Faculty Council office with the subject line “Pardee School Dean Search Advisory Committee.”  In your email, provide a brief statement of interest, including your professional qualifications and experience.  Your statement will be sent to the members of the Faculty Council.

Nominations will close on January 20, 2014.

The results of the Faculty Council vote will appear on our website on January 24, 2014.

Sincerely,

Dr. Katheryn Pfisterer Darr
