Boston University’s Sustainability Program, housed under Finance & Administration at Facilities Management & Planning, comprises a broad range of stakeholder groups on campus to provide the greatest diversity of representation and opinion. The program is made up of sustainability@BU, Dining Services Sustainability, and the Sustainability Committee, which includes the Sustainability Steering Committee and four working groups: Recycling and Waste Management, Energy Conservation, Sustainable Building and Facility Operations, and Communications and Outreach.
The Sustainability program is broad in scope, with the goal of effecting real changes that will reduce the University’s environmental footprint. These efforts range from campus infrastructure upgrades, to connecting students, faculty, and staff through events and outreach, to integrating sustainability into existing programs in education, research, and operations.
