BU Theatre Center – Construction Activity – 10/21/16 – 11/11/16
For October 21, 2016 through November 11, 2016:
- Site preparation and enabling construction activities will continue as permitted by the Town of Brookline and in accordance with the approved Construction Management Plan.
- Authorized work hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays and from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays.
- Brookline Police details will continue to be posted at the two construction site entrance gates, one at Essex Street and one at Dummer Street, to ensure public safety. The safety of our community is our highest priority, so we ask that you please pay close attention to posted signs, police, and safety personnel.
Key Construction Activities
- Drilled Mini-Pile Installation Complete – Drilled mini piles are complete. Final pile activity is cutting down the driven pile to design elevations. This operation requires jack hammering of the concrete pile, so there is noise associated with that operation.
- Upcoming Saturday Work: October 22nd, and October 29th and November 5th – Work includes site excavation and foundations.
Now through November 11th, 2016 – Site excavation and trenching, all underground site utilities installations, and cast-in-place concrete foundations will be ongoing for the next several weeks. Start of structural steel erection is scheduled to begin early weeks of November.
