Reporting Departments

• Administrative ServicesAdministrative Services provides human resources, student health, mail, and IT services. It also oversees a fully deputized police force and a public radio station.
• Office of the Associate Vice President for Administration Office of the Associate Vice President for Administration manages a major sporting venue, fitness center, bookstore, and luxury hotel. It also provides purchasing services for the University.
• Athletics Athletics supports BU’s more than 500 student-athletes competing in 23 NCAA Division I varsity sports and also backs a comprehensive program of recreational, club, and intramural sports.
• Auxiliary Services Auxiliary Services is home to housing, dining, conference, risk management, vending, and transportation departments.
• Budget OfficeThe Budget Office gathers and analyzes enrollment and financial data to give the University’s leadership annual four-year budgetary projections. It also monitors the budget throughout the year and reviews actual results against its projections.
• Financial Affairs & Treasurer Financial Affairs & Treasurer has responsibility for the University’s finances, from grants to auditing.
• Government & Community Affairs Government & Community Affairs maintains BU’s ties with regional and national government, as well as our local community.
• Institutional Research Institutional Research supplies the numbers and information used in BU’s planning, management, and budgetary processes. It also includes Enrollment Planning & Retention, which projects the number of potential new students and required financial aid, and measures BU’s progress against its admissions goals
• Operations Operations heads the development and maintenance of our real estate. It also provides support services for the BU Medical Center.
