What to Expect
Your 45 minute appointment with ERC Writing Assistance will usually begin with a question:
“What can we help you with, today?”
In our 45 minute session we will talk with you about your writing, ask what you’re trying to accomplish, read through your composition with you , and present our feedback on how you might resolve your concerns and improve your own work. We will respond to any issues you have identified and offer insights based on our experience. YOU get to tell US what to expect from your appointment.
Some projects we’ve recently helped with include:
- Research Papers
- Thesis-driven Essays
- Personal Statements
- Graduate Theses
- Application Essays
- Presentations
Please note that Writing Fellows are not specifically trained to review career related documents such as resumes and cover letters. We strongly recommend that students visit the Center for Career Development for assistance with these documents.
