The NYC Department of Education (NYC DOE), Office of Teacher Recruitment and Quality
would like to invite education majors (student teachers and alumni) to participate in our Teacher Information Webinar
on Thursday February 28th, 2013 from 4:30p.m. to 5:30p.m.
We hired over 4900 teachers for the 2012-13 school year! We anticipate the need to recruit teachers across all subject areas with an emphasis in Special Education, ESL, Bilingual Subjects, 7-12 Science certifications and Foreign Languages for the 2013 - 2014 school year.
The webinar will provide information on the following:
–Required steps for teaching in a NYC DOE public school (application process, certification, fingerprinting, etc.)
–Our Teach NYC Select Recruits Program
–Our Middle School Classroom Apprenticeship Program
