ITEC Senior Research Associate Dr. Ashley Stevens is working with Boston University’s British partner, the University of Warwick, to present a conference on “Socially Responsible Licensing:  Achieving Social Equity through Voluntary Licensing” addressing the issue of how innovation can be brought to the developing world within the framework of the existing world intellectual property regime in healthcare, agriculture and cleantech.  This has been a central theme of Dr. Stevens’ research and writings in recent years.

The conference, which will be opened by President Brown and Professor Nigel Thrift, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Warwick, will be held at the University of Warwick’s Conference Center on November 19th and 20th, 2011.

Attendance by students is particularly encouraged, and scholarships are available.
