30 Years of Intersectionality Theory: Milestones and Future Directions

This day-long symposium will feature presentations and discussions that advance research, theory and practice on intersectionality. Two panels, featuring emerging scholars, will focus on "Reproductive and Social Justice," and "Intersectionality, Bodies, and Sexuality." Panelists include Anthony Urena (Columbia), Rocio Garcia (Arizona State), Brooklynn Hitchens (Rutgers), and Tristen Kade (Oregon State) and senior scholar discussants Lorena Garcia (University of Illinois-Chicago) and Salvador Vidal-Ortiz (American University). The event will feature graduate student research roundtables, and a group discussion regarding the future of Intersectionality Theory.
