School of Theology Lowell Event featuring Emilie Townes

Dr. Emilie M. Townes, an American Baptist clergywoman, will deliver this semester's Lowell Lecture, which is hosted jointly by the School of Theology and the Bethel American Methodist Episcopal Church in Boston. Dr. Townes was the first African American and the first woman to serve as Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at Yale Divinity School. Her lecture "Shadowboxing the Ridiculous" will begin at 5pm, with a reception immediately following.
