Dean's List and Latin Honors

Dean's List - College of Engineering

The top 30% of students in each class are placed on the Dean's List of Academic Honor each semester.

The GPA required for Dean's List for the Fall semester is determined by February 1st.

Latin Honors

Among the graduating seniors in the College of Engineering the top 5 percent will be awarded degrees summa cum laude, the next 10 percent will be awarded degrees magna cum laude, and the next 15 percent will be awarded degrees cum laude.

The GPA necessary to obtain honors is determined on February 1 of each year and applies to the May and subsequent September and January graduates. As an example, the GPAs required for honors in 2007 were:

Summa Cum Laude	3.82-4.00
Magna Cum Laude	3.66-3.81
Cum Laude	3.41-3.65
