Eligible applicants must have a 4 year bachelors degree in a non-engineering field. Students must also have taken a college level Calculus course that meets the requirements below.

Students applying to the LEAP program are required to have a Grade of B (or higher) in at least one semester of calculus for math and science majors taken in college (AP calculus does not satisfy this requirement). You will be asked to indicate which course fulfills this requirement on your application. The Calculus course should provide knowledge on Limits and derivatives, applications of derivatives, and anti-differentiation and integration. Specifically:

  • Continuity
  • Exponential, log and trigonometric functions
  • Product, quotient and chain rule
  • Implicit and logarithmic differentiation
  • Related rates and optimization
  • Qualitative implications of the derivative and graphing
  • Anti-derivatives
  • Substitution
  • Growth and decay differential equations
  • Definite integral
