New Director of Development and Alumni Relations

The College of Engineering has appointed Stephen Witkowski, former ENG assistant dean for administration, to the newly created position of director of development and alumni relations. Working with both the College and the Boston University Office of Development and Alumni Relations, Witkowski will spearhead the effort to improve and extend relations with ENG alums. "ENG alums are a vibrant community," he says. "Not only are they leaders in the field of engineering, you can also find them at the forefront of business, industry, and education."

Witkowski's background is in engineering. He received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Engineering from Rensselear Polytechnic Institute. He is a former career naval officer, with over 2,400 flight hours in F-14s, and is a graduate of Naval Fighter Weapons School. He also served as the F-14A/B/D operational test director for Air Test and Evaluation Squadron Four at the Point Mugu Naval Air Station in California, and was the avionics systems project officer for the V-22 Osprey, T-45 Goshawk, and Navy Supersonic Adversary programs while assigned to the Naval Air Systems Command. Witkowski was also a program manager of surveillance radar systems at General Electric in Utica, New York.
