What Is It?

Research is an important element of the undergraduate curriculum at BU ECE and many students participate in a wide range of projects, from electrostatic cleaning of solar panels to visible light communication. However, how does one find out about opportunities to join such projects? Each January ECE research labs, faculty, and Ph.D. students present their ongoing activities to prospective undergraduate researchers. If you are thinking of carrying out undergraduate research in ECE, look for an email about Undergraduate Research Job Fair or check our event calendar in December-January time frame. Below are some memorable moments from this year’s fair held on January 23, 2019. To see projects presented at this fair visit the event webpage. For a listing of organizations and programs supporting undergraduate research, please see Research Opportunities.

ECE Research Labs:

ECE faculty hire undergraduates to work in research labs during the Spring, Summer, and Fall semesters. Undergraduates are encouraged to attend the annual ECE Undergraduate Research Fair to connect with hiring faculty and learn about the available positions. You can visit the Event Webpage to see opportunities available to students who attended the last ECE Undergraduate Research Fair, which takes place every January.
