
College of Engineering Scholarships
Applications for the 2012-2013 scholarships are available now. Applications are due back on Friday, February 24, 2012. Winners will be notified in June.
Please note that a short essay and one recommendation are required for all scholarships. Deadline is Friday, February 24, 2012.
We strongly encourage you to discuss the recommendation piece with your professor first before completing the scholarship application form. Faculty can be complete the recommendation form on-line (the link will be emailed directly to faculty member, therefore a valid BU email address is required).
Additional scholarships and fellowships for undergraduates can be found through the Provost's Office.
Undergraduate Scholarships
Rose Crescenzi Memorial Fund *
Scholarship awards up to $500 to a College of Engineering student majoring in Manufacturing Engineering. Selection is based on merit, financial need, recommendation, and essay.
John J. and Helen Carey Fitzgerald Fund
Scholarship awards up to $6,000 to a College of Engineering student majoring in Mechanical Engineering. Selection is based on merit, recommendation and essay. Preference is given to a student interested in helicopters. Students applying for this award are encouraged to have their recommendation completed by a Mechanical Engineering faculty member.
Steven P. Evans Memorial Scholarship *
Scholarship awards up to $6,000 to a female College of Engineering student. Preference will be given to a student interested in the environment and the preservation of the earth's natural resources (enrollment in one or more courses related to the environment is preferred). Selection is based on merit, financial need, recommendation, and essay.
Sandra P. Garriques Scholarship Fund
Scholarship awards up to $5,000 to a College of Engineering rising Junior or Senior of any major. Selection is based on merit, recommendation, and essay. Preference is given to a student majoring in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.
John Lazzaro Memorial Scholarship Fund *
Scholarship awards up to $2000 to a Biomedical Engineering student who is in need of financial assistance. Selection is based on merit, financial need, recommendation, and essay.
Tegan Family Scholarship Fund
Scholarship awards up to $3,000 to a College of Engineering student of any major. Selection is based on merit, recommendation, and essay.
Waxer Memorial Fund *
Scholarship awards up to $500 to a College of Engineering student of any major in need of financial assistance. Selection is based on merit, financial need, recommendation, and essay.
Book Awards
Excellence in Engineering Book Awards *
Awards in the amount of $1250 to $2500 awarded to a College of Engineering rising Junior or Senior in any major. These funds will be maintained in an account at the university bookstore and will be used to defray the cost of textbooks, academic supplies, and academic software. Selection is based on merit, financial need, recommendation, and essay.
