We look forward to meeting you when you arrive on campus and ushering you into the Class of 2018!
To prepare for University Orientation and registration as a new student in the College of Engineering, you must complete the following essential steps.
Establish a BU Email through Information Technology. This must be completed before attending University Orientation. You will not be able to take the Engineering Diagnostic Exam or register for classes without this.
Establish a network account for access to College of Engineering resources. This account is necessary to register for classes. BU Email Account required (see step #1).
Complete the Housing Interest Survey if you have not already done so (this can be completed before May 1). The sooner Housing information is submitted, the more likely you are to receive your first choice room assignment.
Register for University Orientation. Attendance at an orientation program is required. Orientation is a great opportunity to meet new students, register for classes, and become familiar with Boston University and the city of Boston. Join us!
Review the Degree Requirements for the College of Engineering. It is critical you understand the degree requirements in order to register for fall 2014 classes.
Do you have additional college credit (AP, IB, Transfer Credit)? Determine possible credit here. Please note that advanced credit will be forfeited if you choose to retake the class at Boston University.
Register for freshmen year courses (available June 2, 2014).
Dan Goncalves and Jane Lesniewski are the freshman counselors for the College of Engineering. You will meet them at University Orientation, and they will help guide you through the freshmen curriculum. Feel free to contact Jane (email@example.com) or Dan (firstname.lastname@example.org) by email or phone (617-353-6447).
