College of Engineering

The College & Curriculum

Imagine new technologies that will make us healthier, or help us communicate better and faster, or make us safer, reduce our impact on the environment, or create the next generation of aircraft and spacecraft. If you can, and you enjoy math, science and exploring how things work, the Boston University College of Engineering is where you can learn to make a difference.

The BU Engineering community is using technology to make the world better. You will learn how to apply math and science to solve real-world problems, focusing on your choice of biomedical, electrical, computer or mechanical engineering. You can add a minor or concentration, combining knowledge from different fields to create things you might not have thought possible. Use an electrical engineer’s methods to figure out how genetics works? It’s happening at BU.

At BU, you can study in a foreign country, get internship experience, explore the humanities and social sciences, learn communication skills, and acquire the tools you will need to realize your dreams anywhere in the world. When you graduate, you will have a rounded education that goes beyond technology so you are prepared for life-long success in this global field.
