Operations Manager, Change Control


The Change Control Manager is responsible for continuing to develop, maintain, and administer the change management process. This process involves handling operational requests for change to ITA-hosted and corporate environments. The Manager of Change Control must assess impact of requested changes; solicit approvals for those requests; provide change coordination between ITA, its customers, and vendors; schedule changes during regular maintenance windows; and ensure proper notification of changes are forwarded to ITA customers and vendors. The successful candidate must focus on improving the change management process in order to ensure customer needs of quality and stability are met
while meeting ITA’s hosting objectives.


Primary Responsibilities include(but not limited to):

  • Provide ongoing Change Management functions for all application and infrastructure changes
  • Define, implement, and improve change management processes, standards, tools, methodologies, and metrics
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with change standards and processes
  • Develop and maintain change documentation, detailing company standards, policies, and procedures
  • Educate all ITA departments in the purpose of Change Management and the use of change control tools and procedures
  • Recommend actions that will ensure application and infrastructure changes produce desired outcomes
  • Work closely with development and operations managers to ensure that processes facilitate operational goals
  • Ensure compliance with audit requirements as they are developed
  • Maintain open and timely communication with all Operations management staff


Job Requirements:

  • 4-year college degree in computer science or business required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Information Technology (IT)
  • Minimum of 3 years IT systems methodology and change management experience
  • Solid understanding of change management principles and methodologies
  • Strong technical documentation writing skills
  • Experience with large hosted environments
  • Ability to analyze business needs and assess impact of changes to production environments
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong organization skills

 

This position is for full-time employees who are in the Boston area or are willing to relocate.
