the new, improved, easy-to-use Alumni Link!
We recently simplified and improved the Boston University
Alumni Link services and invite you to register and
explore the new Website at http://alumni.bu.edu.
Among the features now available is an expanded Career
area with the opportunity for you to post and search
job listings, publish your resume, and seek out career
advice through the advisory network.
In a 2003 survey, alumni told us that the
Online Directory didn't list enough of their
classmates. So, beginning on February 9, 2004
, we will include all alumni in the directory
who have not specifically told us they wish
to be excluded. We respect your privacy and
are announcing this change ahead of time so
you can set your privacy preferences the way
you want them. You will always have the choice
to opt-out of the directory. After you've registered,
log in to http://alumni.bu.edu
and click on "My Profile" if
you want to view or change your privacy settings
before February 9.
We will be announcing additional online services in
the near future. Look for announcements via e-mail,
in Bostonia , in other alumni publications,
and online at the Alumni Link.

A motion
picture about the gold medal-winning 1980 U.S. hockey
team.
Join fellow
alumni, parents, and friends in Boston as they enjoy
a private screening of the new movie Miracle, the
story of how the U.S. men's hockey team-including
captain Mike Eruzione (SED'77), Jim Craig (SED'79),
Jack O'Callahan (CAS'79), and Dave Silk (CAS'80, MET'92,
GSM'94)-defeated the heavily favored Soviet squad
during the 1980 Olympics in Lake Placid, New York.
Experience again that thrilling moment when Eruzione
scored the game-winning goal-an upset that was dubbed
"Miracle on Ice." You'll have the opportunity
to meet Mike Eruzione, at a pre-screening reception.
Don't miss this chance to see what Sports Illustrated

Society of Manufacturing Alumni Dinner

The Society
of Manufacturing Engineers is hosting an Alumni Dinner
on February 26th from 6-9pm in the Student Village
Atrium located at 10 Buick Street. This Engineering
Week activity brings together Boston University Engineering
Alumni, Manufacturing Engineering Faculty, and Engineering
Students.
Our current
itinerary consists of interaction between guests,
light entertainment, and a buffet dinner. The
menu consists of delectable herb marinated chicken
sauteed and served with roasted artichoke and parsley
sauce. In addition, the buffet will feature
slices of roast tenderloin of beef with a red wine
mushroom jus as well as vegetable lasagna. A
selection of house wines will be available to compliment
your dinner.
There is
no charge for attending this event however a limited
number of seats are available. Please reserve
your seat before February 14th by emailing Sarah Vanas,
