College of Engineering Hosts Order of the Engineer Ring Ceremony
Robert Clarke, CEO of Pulmatrix, was the guest speaker at the 29th Order of the Engineer Ring Ceremony on Friday, February 22, 2013. The ceremony celebrates engineering contributions to society and the importance of ethics in professional practice.
Clarke was recently appointed CEO of Pulmatrix in September 2012. Pulmatrix is a clinical stage biotechnology company that creates novel inhaled therapeutics and is currently advancing its iCALM therapies through clinical trials.
Clark spoke to the students about how his experiences at the College of Engineering aided him in shaping his career and advised the students to take their BU experiences with them on their own career path. He discussed the importance of integrity as well as the students’ choice to become an engineering student. “There are a lot of easier majors,” he said, “You chose the more challenging path. Be proud of that.”
