Master of Engineering Speaker Series: "Technology Leaders in Industry"

The ‘Technology Leaders in Industry’ speaker series, developed specifically for graduate students interested in careers in industry, engages accomplished entrepreneurs, leaders and executives in student-oriented forums on a variety of technology-focused leadership topics, and about their own career paths. Offering advice to graduates about to embark on a career, students get valuable information about the skills sets companies need from new engineers, and how to approach their own career development plan.

Named Aviation Week’s “Top Performing Company” for a 4th consecutive year

Jeffrey J. Wilcox is the Vice President for Engineering at the Lockheed Martin Corporation. He is responsible for leading the devel- opment and execution of engineering strategy for the Lockheed Martin Engineering Enterprise and its 60,000 engineers, scien- tists, and technologists. Throughout his career, Mr. Wilcox has led several critical initiatives for the Lockheed Martin Corporation, including Engineering for Affordability, the Systems and Software Initiative, the Advanced Manufacturing Initiative, and the En- ergy Solutions Center launch. Mr. Wilcox graduated from Drexel University with a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Case Western Reserve University with a degree in Biomedical Engineering. Mr. Wilcox holds an honorary doctorate of Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology.

Brendon Howe, Vice President and General Manager, NetApp (Read Bio)

Brendon Howe is Vice President and General Manager of the NAS and Object Storage business unit at NetApp. Primarily responsible for leading the company's file services solutions and the emerging object storage and "Big Data" product offerings, Brendon has extensive experience in executive leadership within the networking, storage, and virtualization technology segments and has served in executive management positions at several start-up companies, including Trebia Networks, Inc., an early pioneer of storage network processors used for FC and iSCSI SAN connectivity; Navipath; and Indus River Networks. Brendon holds a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from Boston University and an MBA in Finance from New York University's Stern School of Business.

Wayne is an engineering executive experienced in bringing successful, innovative products to market. He has deep experience building multi-disciplined teams and leading them to meet delivery and investment targets. Prior to his current position as Senior Director, Wayne has held a variety of executive roles at EMC Corporation in product development, product management and technical business development. Wayne received his B.Sc in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, his M.Sc in Systems Engineering from Boston University.
