For the first time, the 7th Annual Undergraduate Design Portfolio Contest is open to all Engineering undergraduates.
Design portfolios can be very effective in job interviews, and the annual competition gives students a chance to start their portfolios or improve upon existing ones.
Sponsored by The Merrill Ebner Fund, the contest is meant to promote design and showcase the importance of design skills in engineering. The portfolio can include design work from courses or on the job, and there will be cash prizes for the top entries.
To gear up for the contest, there will be a Design Portfolio Contest Workshop on Wednesday, February 2, with Professor Dan Cole. It will take place at 8 p.m. at 110 Cummington St. in Room 245. Students will have a chance to ask their questions and hear from former winners.
