The College of Engineering is a leader in specific areas of energy materials, most notably fuel cells, energy efficient solid-state lighting, energy storage systems, coatings for improving energy efficiency, and integration of alternate energy systems. The College of Arts & Sciences is doing pioneering work at the interface of policy, economics and science as they relate to energy and the environment.
