ENG EC535 Introduction to Embedded Systems
Professor Coskun is currently an Assistant Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Boston University. She received her PhD degree from the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Department at UC San Diego in September, 2009. Her advisor at UCSD was Tajana Simunic Rosing, and she worked at the System Energy Efficiency Lab.Professor Coskun’s research focuses on analyzing and managing temperature-induced problems in multicore system-on-chips (SoCs). Key projects she has worked on involve thermal modeling and management of 3D stack architectures, proactive thermal management, and temperature & energy-aware job scheduling for multicore multithreaded systems.
Professor Coskun was an intern at Sun Microsystems, San Diego between June 2006 and September 2009. She also worked at EPFL as a student intern for two summers (2005 and 2008) under the supervision of Prof. Yusuf Leblebici and Prof. Giovanni De Micheli.
