Learn, Play, Grow at Codman Green: Vision and Planning

IMG_6958 cropped_2BU graduate Urban Affairs students worked with Codman Square Neighborhood Development Corporation (CSNDC) on a vision and plan for the development of 100 Ballou Ave into an urban agriculture mixed-used – Play, Learn, Grow – program. A Health Impact Assessment was conducted, in which the health implications of the site redevelopment were articulated and mitigation measures to address adverse health effects were suggested. Future phases might involve soil testing to better determine appropriate planting strategies, developing more detailed funding and business plans, and identifying other key partners for implementation.
