Community Education Programming
“I’m going to start an exercise program. I’ll use the stairs instead of the elevator. I’m going to start slowly and just keep working on doing a little more every day.” – Community Education Program Participant
ENACT enhances the lives of people with arthritis by developing, participating in, and delivering effective, evidence-based community education programs. These programs include Arthritis Foundation Exercise Classes, community health fairs, and community activity programs.
By providing people with arthritis with information, knowledge, and skills pertaining to activity and participation, ENACT hopes to enhance their involvement in work, social, and community activities and have a positive impact on moving the focus of arthritis research from disability to enablement.
