ENACT Presents at NARRTC Annual Meeting

Julie_expo 2012.pngENACT faculty and staff featured in two presentations at the National Association of Rehabilitation, Research, and Training Centers (NARRTC) annual meeting on April 18-19, 2013.

ENACT Director Julie Keysor, PT, PhD gave a talk with ENACT faculty member Jessica Maxwell, PT, DPT, OCS titled The Effect of Knee Replacement on Participation Restrictions: The Multicenter Osteoarthritis Study. This presentation discussed Dr. Keysor’s and Dr. Maxwell’s work with data from the Multicenter Osteoarthritis Study (MOST). In the second talk of the day, ENACT Pre-doctoral fellow Aileen Ledingham presented the research paper Telephone counseling for long-term adherence to strength training for knee osteoarthritis (OA): A Pilot Study which profiles Dr. Kristin Baker’s pilot work on which the ENACT BOOST study is based. This meeting serves as the annual gathering for NIDRR, the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR) and the funding agency of ENACT.  ENACT has been the NIDRR Arthritis Rehabilitation, Research, and Training Center (ARRTC) since 2010.

ENACT faculty and staff have also been accepted to present at upcoming ACRP/ARHP and APTA/CSM meetings in 2013.  We look forward to sharing our research with you this year!
