ONLY YOU CAN PREVENT FOREST FIRES!

Well, that’s what Smokey said. And Only You Can Prevent All Sorts of Fires!

In fact, most fires are preventable. Be careful around open flames. Don’t wear loose flammable clothing around flames. Discard cigarettes properly. Be careful when cooking.

But when a fire does start, you don’t have much time to act. The biggest thing is to get early detection. So test your smoke detector. If it’s not working, replace the battery and retest it. If it still doesn’t work, contact your Fire Marshal or Floor Warden. Or call the Office of Environmental Health and Safety at 353-4094.
