Environmental Health and Safety has developed programs to help protect patients, students, visitors, employees and staff from potential hazards associated with construction activities. The programs are also aimed to comply with OSHA and other regulations and standards.
Every department has responsibility as it relates to construction activity even if it is as simple as reporting potential risks. Employees and staff are expected to take necessary steps to protect the safety and health of University and Hospital patients, students, employees, staff, and others coming to our facilities.
These programs provided on this site apply to all University and Hospital properties and to all construction and renovation work performed by University and Hospital employees and its contractors regardless of jobsite location. All employees must comply with the requirements of these programs for the safety of themselves and those around them.
