EDRT Member, Frances Hesselbein, completed her term as the Class of 1951 Chair for the Study of Leadership at the U.S. Military Academy in West Point.

In 2009, the Department of Behavioral Sciences and Leadership at the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY appointed Ms. Frances Hesselbein, CEO and President of Leader to Leader Institute, as the Class of 1951 Chair for the Study of Leadership.

Throughout the duration of her term, Mrs. Hesselbein traveled to West Point on a monthly basis to meet with the cadets. She provided them with great support and opportunities to meet world renowned leaders such as Lloyd Austin and Marshall Goldsmith. Although Mrs. Hesselbein has completed her 2 year tenure as the Class of 1951 Chair, West Point officials and directors are confident in her continuous assistance and support to not only the West Point Military Academy but also the young men and women graduates who are bound to be the future leaders of our nation.

According to Mrs. Hesselbein, “West Point has my total commitment to making the greatest contribution in a unique and significant way to cadet development.” “I know of no American whose entire life more genuinely reflects the values of “Duty, Honor, Country,”
