Subject to budgetary approval, the Department of Economics expects to have two openings at the rank of assistant professor. Candidates should have, or expect to complete a PhD in economics by September 1, 2010 and they must have a strong record of teaching and research. For one position strong preference will be given to candidates in cross-section econometrics. For the second position, we are particularly interested in candidates in open-economy macroeconomics, empirical microeconomics, game theory, and economic history; however, outstanding candidates in other fields will also be considered.
