The Department of Economics at Boston University offers several MA degree programs: Master of Arts in Economics (MA Econ), Master of Arts in Global Development Economics (MAGDE) or Master of Arts in Economic Policy (MAEP). These programs provide rigorous training in economic theory and the quantitative methods for modern economic analysis, skills and knowledge that are much sought after in the market place. We are a highly ranked research department, and our outstanding faculty is fully committed to the teaching and professional success of master’s students. Our graduates are well placed in many parts of the private sector — most notably in the consulting and financial industries, as well as in governments, international and non-profit organizations throughout the world.
