For patriotism is indeed a double- edged sword.

 mind has closed, the leader will have no rights
of the citizenry. Rather, the citizenry, infused with
fear and up all of their rights to the leader and
gladly so. How do I know? For this is what

 effort to suppress an awareness of our
 inadequacy, worthlessness, guilt and
 other shortcomings of the self. Self-
