BU will be respresented 71 times at ASSA/AEA 2018 meetings

In January 2018, Boston University will be represented a total of 71 times at the ASSA (Allied Social Science Association) annual conference in Philadelphia, with 34 of those appearances being made by Department of Economics faculty. BU affiliates will appear in many different capacities, including as presenters, coauthors, discussants, and sessions chairs.

In total, Boston University will be represented by 20 Department of Economics faculty, 14 Questrom School of Business faculty, and 22 current or former BU students.

The busiest participant this year will be our new associate professor Tarek Hassan, with four papers presented and one session chaired. This impressive activity spearheads the remarkable ten appearances from the five new BU faculty joining the Department of Economics this fall. Others who will be busy with three appearances each include professors Kevin Lang, Robert Margo, and Pascual Restrepo.
