Elena

elenapicHi, I’m Elena (EE ’12) and I’m doing research with Professor Little on utilizing controllable light for the benefit of humanity. I am working on modulating light to transmit wireless communication. I implement and test different modulation schemes that include turning the light on and off quickly or changing the light’s intensity at speeds that are indictable to the human eye.

I am interested in chip design and logic design, so I hope my Senior Design Project will incorporate that in some way. Community service is also important to me so if my project could help humanity, that would be an added bonus.

My research has been a good learning experience, and I am excited to take what I will learn this summer and apply it to my senior project and any job I get in the future.
