AvatarUpFantastic Mr. FoxThe Matrix — these popular films were made possible by the ingenious efforts of Computer and Software Engineers.  Did you know that for the movie Avatar, Electrical Engineers created a complex, never-before-seen body-motion system to sense the movements of  live actors in real time?  Simultaneously, Computer Engineers created an entirely new technology that rendered these human body movements into detailed animation, allowing the director to view the finished animation as the actors performed on the recording stage.

ECE Engineers support the movie industry by developing sensor networks, embedded microcontroller systems, complex software, digital displays, and sound synthesizers, thus helping to create entertainment delights for the entire world.
