Research

Gualtiero Badin’s research interests geophysical fluid dynamics; large-scale and mesoscale ocean and atmosphere circulation; linear and nonlinear ocean and atmosphere dynamics; stability theory and eddy dynamics; sub-mesoscale dynamics; ocean-climate variability; coastal dynamics.

His research methodology includes the development of analytical models, and the comparison of theoretical results with observations and both realistic and idealized numerical models.
