Current Research

I am a full-time researcher and part time PhD student in the Land Cover & Surface Climate Group in Boston University.  My research interests are at the intersection of remote sensing and forest ecology.  As part of my job I produce global land cover maps using satellite imagery from the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS).  My PhD thesis dissertation focuses on state-of-the-art methods to monitor and assess forest health through time.  In the future I hope to leverage my computer skills and ecological knowledge to do consulting for companies that want to invest in afforestation and forest conservation for carbon credits.
