Assistant professor Rachael Garrett has penned “For cattle farmers in the Brazilian Amazon, money can’t buy happiness” in the latest issue of The Conservation. Based on research published in Ecology and Society, Garrett writes, “Ranching rates have remained fairly steady over the past 20 years. That’s because, as our research has demonstrated, economic returns don’t always explain how farmers in this region choose to use their land.” Click here to read the full article.
