Lucy Hutyra to give plenary talk at Urban Environmental Pollution Conference in Toronto

Earth & Environment Assistant Professor Lucy Hutyra will be Toronto, Canada tomorrow, Friday June 13th, to give a plenary talk at the 2014 Urban Environmental Pollution Conference.

The conference, held June 12th through the 15th, will focus on the increasing urbanization of humanity and the environmental problems that result from urbanization. Some of the topics include:

  • Urban Environments and how they function
  • CO2 greenhouse gases and warming
  • Air, water and soil pollutants
  • Human health in the city
  • Vegetation in the city
  • Built environment and urban climate
  • Alleviation or urban stress problems

Hutyra will be discussing “Urbanization and the carbon cycle.”
