Professor Edward Cunningham will be in Washington, D.C. this week to give an invited talk on a panel at the National Academy of Sciences (NAS) Board on Energy and Environmental Systems (BEES) as part of their Forum on Financing Clean Energy Technologies.  His comments are entitled “Measuring China’s Emerging Role in Clean Energy.” The day-long sessions will explore energy finance – from venture capital to private equity to project finance – with the goal of overcoming barriers to increasing private investment in the demonstration and deployment of clean energy technologies. The forum will also focus on China’s rapidly expanding role in clean energy finance and identify potential roles that the NAS could play in addressing clean energy finance challenges in the US.
