Statue of Bach, Leipzig

The City Leipzig is an one and a half hour train ride away from Dresden.

It’s known to be an exhibition center and for its famous German writers and artists like Goethe and Bach who lived and worked there.

About the excursion:

You’re taking the train from Dresden to Leipzig and walk to the “Zeitgeschichtliche Forum“. There you will have a guided tour through the museum and its exibitions.

After lunch in a nearby restaurant you will have a guided tour of the city.


  • As soon as you get your Semesterticket (April/October) you can take the train to Leipzig everytime you like without paying extra.
  • * Please note, that the “earliest return” depends on all involved parties to be punctual, so please consider the return time for at least one hour later, in case you plan to book a weekend trip, to be on the safe side.
