by Aneena Patel (SAR '17) and President of Kappa Delta Sorority Last winter,
We aim to help BU students achieve the self-sufficiency and independence that will make them innovators and leaders in their communities.
We can’t do it without you—their advisors, guides, and friends. Because we deeply appreciate your crucial role, we’ve made sure there are ways you can be involved in life at BU.
We know you want to be engaged and informed. We created this program targeted to BU parents so you can stay connected to campus with local receptions, the biannual Parent Magazine, and various resources to help you navigate BU. We also share important information through our monthly Parents Extra e-newsletter and our Facebook page.
Join the Parents Ambassador Program to help foster community among BU parents and share the Terrier spirit. You can talk to parents of prospective students, provide career insight and guidance through the Center for Career Development, host students during Alternative Spring Break, throw dinners for students, and more.
The Annual Fund Leadership Giving Society—the advocacy and advisory arm of the Parents Program—is another way to be active with the BU community.
We look forward to meeting you and sharing exciting BU developments at this weekend showcasing the myriad ways our University is unlike any other. Held each fall, Parents Weekend features student and faculty presentations, campus tours, gallery shows, music, dining events, and more.
