Legal texts and computer programs are two peas in a pod: they are made of words that do things in the world when they are used in the right way. But legal language is interpreted by humans, whereas software is interpreted by computers. In this Cyber Alliance talk, Cornell Prof. James Grimmelmann will discuss his work that asks what looking at software can tell us about law and legal interpretation.
