Tom L. Wark's DADDY ISSUES

  • Starts: 7:30 pm on Wednesday, October 19, 2016
Boston University College of Fine Arts School of Theatre presents DADDY ISSUES, A Boston University College of Fine Arts New Play Initiative production, and the School of Theatre’s official 2016 Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival entry. | Written by Tom L. Wark (CFA’16) and directed by Leila Ghaemi (CFA’14). | Alex Hart has never known her parents. Instead, she's lived all her life with tough-love sisters in the woods of Northern Maine. But today it's her eighteen birthday, and with a bottle of Jack Daniel's by her side, she's making plans to take the family's old '67 Camaro and leave Maine and her sisters in the dust. Those plans get put on hold, however, when the impossible happens: Alex winds up face-to-face with Frank Hart, her absent Dad, age 25. Now she must reconcile the irresponsible deadbeat of lore with the conflicted young man she has stumbled across: can this really be the same guy who walked out when she was just a baby? Daddy Issues is an American adventure through space and time, an exploration of love, responsibility, and what it means to be a family. | October 19-25 | FREE Admission | More Information: bu.edu/cfa/theatre/events or 617.353.3390
